P.s. this year we did the following: Hvolsvollur, F210, F225, F26, F821, Akureyri and then Dorshofn, Vopnafjordur, Hellisheidi pass, Egilsstadir. In all 600 Km in 2 weeks with a box of food in Nyidalur.

The track from the north is stony to go and there is a steep rocky downhill to Vonarskard. Then afterwards in the valley you have to search for your own track coming over the rivers It’s difficult to ride the bike there (sand, river crossing, no tracks) so you have to pull a lot coming to the west side of the valley. Could also be a lot of water there.

On the exit in the south take the way over the mountain on the west side of the river. So train your stuff the precipitous slope up. Crossing the Kaldakvisl twice is a bad idea.
