Two excerpts from the film 'The Air Holds Still On My Breath'.
The Air Holds Still On My Breath, shot on full high definition video on location in Iceland, is a 42 minute film set to an original score composed by Philip Clemo. The film, in 7 episodes, moves through the journey of life: Orientation, Exhilaration, Isolation, Consolidation, Expansion, Transformation and an un-named final section. The hugely diverse Icelandic landscape of ice and fire is used as a metaphor for different states of being.
The project was shot using specialist camera technology to capture extreme slow motion details of geothermal activity and waterfalls, and from the air using an ultra-smooth gyro-stabilised camera mounted on a helicopter. This film is an invitation to 'let go of the map', drop a little deeper, and perceive the world differently. The original music, described as 'quietly mesmerising' by The Times (UK), is available on the All Colours Arts release The Rooms, by Philip Clemo
